From time to time the Italian Kitchen has the pleasure of inviting world reknown chefs to share their culinary delights with those people fortunate enough to sample this exquisite fare.

One recent visitor, Giovanni, comes from the village of Montegualtieri near the town of Cermignano just outside of Teramo in Italy’s central Abruzzo Region.  Giovanni (Giu-an to his closest friends) really knows how to cook up a petto di pollo (chicken breast) as well as timballo, scrippelle ‘mbuse, ‘ndocca ‘ndocca, le virtu’, spaghetti alla chitarra, and the dish for which he is perhaps most famous, mazzarelle. Nice work Giu-an!!
